Anna Modesti

Violin Pedagogy Teacher, Scuola Universitaria di Musica

Since the 1989 Anna has worked at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, where she teaches violin in the “School of music” and in the “Pre-professionale” departments. Since 1995 she is also Professor of violin pedagogy at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana.

Anna is also the conductor and the manager of the Orchestra d’Archi Giovanile della Svizzera italiana: this orchestra is the culmination of a large collective project which has led, over the last thirteen years, to the birth of four Orchestras at four different levels. This project involves around 200 young violinists, violists, cellists and bassists.

From 2003 to 2005 she was a member of the Committee of the Association ESTA (European Strng Teachers Association) Italy and since 2005, conducts research into instrumental teaching.
