ArtEM : Art, Education, Mediation

The ArtEM project aims to indicate new ways, new chances and new opportunities for those who are operating in artistic sectors. The idea of ArtEM is to overcome the traditional definition of autonomous and separate genres by opening up the various artistic branches and searching for synergies. A basis of this will be fostering cooperation between different cultural and educational institutions.

Aims

The project goals are to approach the relationship between arts and the public, arts and society, and to develop potential here in the Italian part of Switzerland by observing similar national and international projects. Furthermore, ArtEM wants to facilitate the approach to the arts for those of different ages, different social classes and different geographic areas. The basic idea is the objective of a simbiotic unity of arts, education and mediation without any decrease of quality.
